Terms and fair use
These terms cover the free, hosted viaduct.sh service. The software itself is open source under the MIT License; if you run your own, the license governs that, not this page. Last updated 2 August 2026.
Fair use
viaduct.sh is a free, shared service run in good faith. Please use it reasonably. Do not monopolise capacity, push sustained high-volume or heavy commercial production traffic through it, or otherwise abuse the shared resources that keep it free for everyone. We may rate-limit, cap, or refuse traffic to keep the service healthy.
No guarantees
The hosted service is provided as-is and as-available, with no warranty of any kind. Tunnels and connections can be disrupted, throttled, or terminated at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. We make no guarantee of uptime, performance, availability, or stability while you use the platform. Do not rely on it for anything critical, or anything you cannot afford to lose.
Acceptable use
The platform must not be used for malicious, illegal, or harmful intent. That includes, without limitation: phishing or impersonation, distributing malware, fraud, attacking or probing systems you do not own, spam, harassment, or anything unlawful. We may act to keep the service safe, and we will terminate any tunnel that violates this, without notice.

viaduct is completely open source, so if you want full control, no shared limits, and no dependence on our service, you can spin up your own in a few minutes. See the deployment guide. The hosted viaduct.sh is a convenience, not a commitment.
Changes
These terms may change at any time. Continued use of the hosted service means you accept the current version.
